J. F. (Jonathan Fuller) Parkhurst was born in 1829 in Unity, Maine, and owned the J .F. Parkhurst and Son Co. in Bangor, dealers in saddlery hardware, blankets, robes, etc., and manufacturers of trunks and bags. He died in Unity in 1902.
